The nature reserve Bürvenicher Berg and Tötschberg as well as Berg- and Mausbachtal lies in the area of the city of Mechernich in the district of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area, which consists of four sub-areas, extends northwest of the core city of Mechernich and north, west and southwest of the Mechernich district of Floisdorf along the Bergbach and the Mausbach. The state road L 11 runs northeast, the B 265 to the west and the B 477 to the east .

For Mechernich, a 103.28 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number EU-020 since 1983 . The area has been placed under protection to preserve and develop habitats and animal and plant species of community interest.
