The nature reserve Villewälder near Bornheim is located in the area of the cities of Brühl and Erftstadt in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends southwest of the core city of Brühl. The state road L 194 runs through the area. The A 553 runs along the north-western edge and the A 61 runs to the south-west .

For Erftstadt and Brühl, a 47.63 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number BM-036 since 2003 . The protection is provided for the preservation of communities and biotopes of certain wild animal and plant species.
