The nature reserve Kerpener Bruch as well as the adjoining open spaces and former excavation areas are located in the area of ​​the city of Kerpen in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends east of the core town of Kerpen directly on the A 61 that passes on the western edge and directly on the B 264 that passes on the southern edge . The state road L 162 runs to the west and north, the L 163 to the east. The Erft flows on the eastern edge and the Kleine Erft flows through the area .
