The nature reserve forest areas to Hemmersbach Castle is in the area of the city Kerpen in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends north of the core town of Kerpen on the north-western edge of the Kerpen district of Horrem . The L 277 state road runs along the southern edge of the area and the L 163 to the north. The Erft flows to the west and the A 61 runs along it .
meaning
A 13.14 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Kerpen since 1998 under the identification number BM-033. It is placed under protection because of its importance as a habitat for certain wild plant and animal species.
