The nature reserve Bürgewald Blatzheimer Bürge is located in the area of ​​the city of Kerpen in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The protected area is located in the Hambach Forest , parts of the originally protected area have already fallen victim to the opencast mine.

Since 1993, an 84.85 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Kerpen under the identification number BM-026. It is protected because of its importance as a habitat for certain wild animal species.
