Eleonore Hefner

Eleonore Hefner (born June 12, 1955 in Höpfingen ) is a German social scientist and cultural mediator.

Live and act

Studied at the Heidelberg University of Education (German and History) and at the University of Heidelberg (Educational Science, Psychology and Ethnology).

Through her work in language and culture mediation in adult education institutions in the Rhine-Neckar area and for the Goethe Institute in Finland , she developed into a professional cultural mediator.

She gained extensive experience in the management of cultural projects as deputy head of the coordination office for foreigner work in Ludwigshafen, as head of the cultural promotion department of the city of Ludwigshafen and as managing director of Kultur Rhein-Neckar eV in various teaching positions at the universities of Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Mannheim and at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for social affairs in Ludwigshafen since 1989 she has been teaching on issues of cultural work in immigration society, civil society and participation and has dealt with the organizational development of non-profit organizations.

Eleonore Hefner is the spiritus rector of the German-Russian cultural exchange project QUATTROLOGE and was one of the founding members of Kultur Rhein-Neckar eV in 1995

  • 1998 - 2013: Spokeswoman for the Rhine-Neckar regional group of the cultural and political society.
  • Since 2009: Member of the State Advisory Board for Migration Rhineland-Palatinate.
  • 2004 - 2012: Spokeswoman for cultural policy for the SPD city council group in Ludwigshafen
  • 2009 - 2014: Member of the Association Assembly of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region.
  • Since 2004: Member of the Rhein-Neckar Academy of the Arts.
  • 2013–2017: Board member of the Federal Association for Socioculture.
  • 2014-2019: Participation in the cultural heritage committee of the German Cultural Council.
  • Since 2014: Board member of the European Network of Cultural Centers ENCC.
