Elim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elim is an oasis mentioned in the Old Testament with twelve water springs and seventy palm trees .

Biblical history tells of Moses leading the people out of Egypt . After a long hike through the desert they finally reached the oasis of Elim and set up camp there ( Ex 15.27  LUT , Num 33.9  LUT ). Followers of this Christian movement founded Elim churches in Germany at the end of the 18th century .
