Elisa Fernandes

Elisa Fernandes Leite , (born February 14, 1950 in Rio de Janeiro ; † January 2, 1993 ibid) was a Brazilian TV and theater actress and a well-known advertising icon.

Life

Fernandes has mostly appeared in television series and telenovelas, but began her career in film. In 1970 she played her first role in the Brazilian hit movie Meu Pé de Laranja-Lima , followed in the same year in the award-winning film "Em familia" / In the Family , in which she played Suzana . Other TV roles followed. She became internationally known in the leading role of Tais Vidal at the side of Mário Cardoso in the series Die Sklavin Isaura from 1976, which was sold in 95 countries and was also broadcast in China. In the same year she stood in front of the camera as one of four leading actresses in the film "As Grã-Finas eo Camelô". After 1978 she returned to the theater, was represented in various magazines in photo stories and on television commercials (best-known advertising: air conditioning).

At the end of the 1980s she no longer played in any films or series, her last role was that of "Germana" in the telenovela "Carmem" 1987/88.

On January 2, 1993, Elisa Fernandes died of cancer at the age of 42 . In the 70s and 80s she was one of the most beautiful women on Brazilian television.
