Elisabeth Heer Dietrich

Elisabeth Heer Dietrich (* 1974 ) is a Swiss lawyer . She is independent and has been a land clerk for the canton of Basel-Landschaft since 2018 .

Life

Elisabeth Heer Dietrich studied law at the University of Basel . She then obtained the title of Master of Advanced European Studies at the Europainstitut Basel. She gained her first professional experience in the private sector before moving to the public sector. There she worked in various functions at the Federal Office of Police . In 2011 she became General Secretary of the Security Directorate of the Canton of Zug .

In March 2018, Heer Dietrich was elected to succeed Peter Vetter by the district administrator of the canton with 82 out of 84 votes and took office on August 1, 2018. This makes her the first land writer in the Basel area. She heads the state chancellery , the administrative department of the district administrator and the government council .
