Elisabeth Herold

Elisabeth "Liesbeth" Herold is a former German foil fencer . In 1952 and 1954 the left-handed Herald von Empor Mitte Leipzig won the individual championship of the German Democratic Republic .

• 1952 : Champion (7 wins, 16 hits) ahead of Annemarie Wilberg (6 wins, 14 hits), 3rd place (team) with Charlotte Fischer , Hildegard Gipp , Christel Schmeißer and Cilli Winkler
• 1953 : 3rd place (5 wins) behind Annemarie Wilberg (7 wins) and Hanna Hesse (5 wins), champion (team) with Charlotte Fischer, Hildegard Gipp, Elfriede Ulbricht and Cilli Winkler
• 1954 : Champion (7 wins, 14 hits) ahead of Herta Presting (7 wins, 16 hits)
• 1955 : 3rd place behind Christa Freitag and Ruth Domaschke
• 1956 : Vice-Champion behind Christa Freitag, Vice-Champion (team) with Charlotte Fischer, Hildegard Gipp, Annelies Walther and Cilly Winkler
• 1957 : 3rd place behind Karin Lohse and Käthe Müller
