Elisabeth Jagiellonica

Elisabeth Jagiellonica (born November 13, 1482 in Lithuania , † February 16, 1517 in Liegnitz ) was a Polish and Lithuanian princess from the house of the Jagiellonians and, by marriage, Silesian Duchess of Liegnitz and Brieg .

Elisabeth was the daughter of the Polish king Casimir IV Jagiełło and Elisabeth von Habsburg . She married Duke Friedrich II of Liegnitz and Brieg on November 26, 1515 through the mediation of Wroclaw Bishop Johannes V. Thurzo . The marriage had a daughter Hedwig on February 2, 1517, but she died on the day of her birth. Elisabeth died two weeks later.
