Elisabeth von Schneckenburg was abbess in the Fraumünster in Zurich in 1255 , the fourth Thurgau woman in this position in the Benedictine monastery . She was mentioned as a conventual in 1244 and 1254. The von Schneckenburgs can probably be assigned to a castle at Hof Schneckenburg in Weinfelden .
