Elisabeth window in Paris

The Elisabeth window in the Catholic Church of St-Étienne-du-Mont in Paris , a parish church on Place Sainte-Geneviève in the 5th arrondissement , was created around 1560. The leaded glass window was classified as a monument historique in 1905 .

The window comes from an unknown workshop. The only representation that is about one meter high is in the middle lancet. Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia holds a crown in her left hand and with her right hand she gives a coin to a poor cripple at her feet. Elisabeth wears a crown on her head with a veil , her long dress falls to the floor. A belt studded with jewels ties her waist.

The window has been extensively restored, as evidenced by the blemishes on her face and other parts.
