Elke Baum

Elke Baum (born March 22, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German former politician ( PDS ). From 1995 to 1999 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1979, Elke Baum studied German and fine arts at the University of Greifswald, graduating as a certified teacher in 1983. She then worked in school.

Party and politics

Baum was a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) from 1986 to 1990 , then the PDS. From 1990 to 1992 she was a member of the district assembly of the Marzahn district . In the 1995 parliamentary elections , she received a direct seat in the constituency of Köpenick 3.
