Elke Montanari

Elke Montanari (born June 15, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German linguist and professor at the Hildesheim University Foundation .

biography

Elke Montanari studied at the Free University in Berlin German with a focus on linguistics, theater studies and journalism. In 1986 she received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Society. She worked as an assistant director and intern at the Stadttheater Lüneburg, the Tribüne Berlin, the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and the Schauspiel Essen, where she worked for Hansgünther Heyme, among others . From 1986 to 1990 Montanari taught German as a foreign language in Vicenza . At the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich she received her doctorate in 2009 with a dissertation on the subject of gender and determination , supervised by Konrad Ehrlich.

After working as a research assistant at the Karlsruhe University of Education and a junior professorship for multilingualism at the Heidelberg University of Education , Montanari accepted the position of the University of Hildesheim Foundation at the Institute for German Language and Literature for the professorship of German as a second language in 2012.

Montanari is a board member at the Center for Educational Integration and spokesperson for the focal point Multilingualism.
