Elke Roos

Elke Roos (born February 13, 1960 in Soest ) is a German lawyer and presiding judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

The doctorate Roos studied law at the universities of Marburg and Gießen . She then worked as a research assistant at the university institute for procedural law in Marburg.

After her traineeship, she initially worked as a member of the board of directors at the Federal Employment Agency (BA). Since 1991 active in the social justice system in Hesse, she was also a lecturer at the local health insurance fund in Hesse from 1994 to 1996. Roos was seconded to the Federal Social Court from 1995 to 1998 . Roos has been a member of Examination Division II at the Hesse Judicial Examination Office since 2000. From 2001 to 2002 a delegation to the Hessian State Social Court followed . In August 2003 she was appointed director at the Kassel Social Court.

On June 1, 2005, State Secretary Heinrich Tiemann handed over the certificate of appointment as judge at the Federal Social Court.
