West Lake Friendship Award

The West Lake Friendship Award was founded in 1997 and is the highest honor given by Zhejiang Province to foreign experts from universities and industry. It has been awarded to over 450 people so far. In 2013, there were 35 experts who received the award in person from Lieutenant Governor Xiong Jianping on October 11th in the Great Hall of the People in Hangzhou .
