The Kassel Social Court is a social justice court . The court is one of seven social courts in Hessen and has its seat in Kassel . Vasco Knickrehm is the director of the social court.

Courthouse

The court building of the Kassel Social Court is located at Ständeplatz 23 . From the end of October 2018 the new headquarters will be at the Specialized Court Center Goethestrasse 41-43 .

Judicial district and higher courts

The Kassel Social Court is locally responsible for the city of Kassel , the district of Kassel , the Schwalm-Eder district and the Werra-Meißner district . The factual jurisdiction results from the Social Court Act .

At the state level, the Hessian State Social Court is the higher-ranking court. The Federal Social Court , also located in Kassel, is superordinate to this.
