Robert Pfleger Research Award

The Robert Pfleger Research Prize is a German medical prize that has been awarded every two years by the Bamberg Doctor Robert Pfleger Foundation since 1986 . It is named after the German chemist and pharmaceutical entrepreneur Robert Pfleger . The prize is awarded to “outstanding scientific achievements in the field of 'Basics and Perspectives in Medicine'” (according to the Foundation's award regulations). Individuals as well as research teams are taken into account. The Board of Trustees decides on the award of the prize. The award is endowed with 50,000 euros per winner, if there are more than two award winners, up to 100,000 euros will be split.
