Building of the social court

The Darmstadt Social Court is a social justice court . The court is one of seven social courts in Hessen and has its seat in Darmstadt .

Courthouse

The courthouse of the Darmstadt Social Court is located at Steubenplatz 14. It is shared with the Hessian Regional Social Court and the Darmstadt Labor Court .

Judicial district and higher courts

The Darmstadt Social Court is locally responsible for the independent cities of Darmstadt and Offenbach , the Bergstrasse district , the Darmstadt-Dieburg district , the Groß-Gerau district , the Odenwald district and the Offenbach district. The factual jurisdiction results from the Social Court Act .

At the state level, the Hessian State Social Court is the higher-ranking court. The Federal Social Court , located in Kassel, is superordinate to this.

1. ↑ The local jurisdiction for the Offenbach district was changed by the eighth law amending the Hessian implementation law to the social court law of November 24, 2009, GVBl. I p. 422, introduced with effect from January 1, 2010. Previously, the local jurisdiction of the social court in Frankfurt am Main was given.
