The Steuben Place is a place in Darmstadt-Mitte and former station square two train stations, considered today green space is used.

The approx. 200 meter long and 40 meter wide area was named after Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben in the early 1930s and was previously part of the Landgraf-Philipps facility .

Today the Darmstadt art gallery is located on the southern edge of the green area . The exhibition building of the Darmstädter Kunstverein was built in 1956/57 according to plans by Theo Pabst . There is also the building of the social court , built from 1986 to 1988 according to plans by Ernst Friedrich Krieger and Lothar Greulich, in place of the two war-torn stations on Steubenplatz .
