Ella Conradty

Ella Katharina Conradty (born October 19, 1889 , † September 17, 1978 in Röthenbach adPegnitz ; née Schiltz ) was a German entrepreneur.

From 1948 to 1978 she was the owner and manager of the carbon and graphite product manufacturer C. Conradty . Between 1892 and 1916, the company had 180 houses with over 700 residential units, company children's homes and a company hospital built for its workforce. In 1972 she set up the Ella Conradty Foundation to support employees and their immediate family members .

From 1960 she was a member of the board of directors of the Deutsches Museum, at that time the only woman among 122 men.

  • 1954: Gold Rudolf Diesel Medal for the entire family's earnings
  • 1956: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany
  • 2009: Ella-Conradty-Strasse was named in Röthenbach adPegnitz
