Elleham was a Danish motorcycle brand produced by JCH Ellehammer in Bakkebølle , Sydsjælland .

The scooter-like construction of the light motorcycle is driven by a single-cylinder gasoline engine under the saddle via a belt drive with a clutch gear to the rear wheel. The fuel tank is also located under the saddle. The brake system consists of a so-called block brake , a foot pedal that is pressed to the brake shoes on the belt wheel on the rear wheel via a linkage. The Elleham was not ridden with knee grip, which means that there is a passage between the driver's seat and the front fork.

In the period from 1904 to 1914, around 1000 copies were made by Ellehammer A / S for private users, the Danish military and the post office in Denmark. A few models are still ready to drive today and are also in vehicle museums. Ellehammer also invented a special carburetor that made it possible to use kerosene in gasoline engines. There was also a three-wheel version that carried a box body as a sidecar. The first Elleham models were equipped with French Peugeot-Freres engines and Zedell engines from Switzerland. In 1907 Ellehammer began using motors that they had developed in-house. However, the Peugeot engine continued to be used until production ended in 1914.
