Ellen Werthmann

Ellen Werthmann (born August 1, 1937 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German SPD politician .

education and profession

In 1959, Ellen Werthmann graduated from secondary school through the second education path. Then she trained as a wholesale clerk. She successfully completed this training in 1953. After that she worked as a housewife.

politics

Ellen Werthmann has been a member of the SPD since 1971. From 1981 to 1987 she was and again since March 2000 an assessor on the board of the SPD subdistrict Gelsenkirchen, of which she was deputy chair from 1987 to March 2000. She has been chairwoman of the Gelsenkirchen sub-district of the AsF since 1980. Werthmann has also been chairwoman of the local SPD association in Gelsenkirchen-Beckhausen since 1984. From 1979 to May 1990 she was a member of the Gelsenkirchen City Council. From 1984 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Gelsenkirchen City Council and as chairwoman of the school committee in the council from 1984 to 1990.

Ellen Werthmann was a directly elected member of the 11th , 12th and 13th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia from May 31, 1990 to June 2, 2005 .
