Elsa Brünner ( August 31, 1877 in Stuttgart - after 1907) was a German theater actress .

Life

Brünner, the daughter of a merchant, was applauded for her art of declamation at school . Later she took lessons from Wilhelm von Hoxar and on September 21, 1893 she appeared for the first time as "Adelheid" in Jugendliebe at the court theater in Stuttgart. She was accepted as an apprentice and in 1894, on the occasion of a guest performance by Ernst von Possart , to whom she had auditioned, invited to a guest performance at the Munich Court Theater .

She made her debut there on June 8th and 10th, 1894 in World, in which One is Bored and as "Rita" in Talisman and was immediately committed to this court stage for three years. For a long time she was given no opportunity to develop, and it was not until January 23, 1897, when she had played the "goose girl" in the Königskinder for the first time with great success, that her contract was extended for another five years. Through this role she became known in the theater world, because she was invited to various first stages to portray the "goose girl". It was published in Vienna in September 1897 .

She stayed in Munich until at least 1907, her further life is unknown.
