Elsa Reich

Elsa Reich ( September 9, 1879 in Prague - after 1913) was an opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Reich, who had only recently been active before that, trained by contralto Plodek and Felix Ehrl , had been engaged in the soubrette trade by artistic director Angelo Neumann at the Prague State Theater since 1898 (inaugural role: "Benjamin"). She promised the best and was considered decisively gifted in her field, was agile, possessed a well-known talent for playing and found lively recognition for her sympathetic depictions, for example in "Figaro" ( Cherubin ), bear skins etc., such as "Geisha" ( Mimosa ) Etc.

In July 1904 she married Bernhardt Wollner and lived with him in Kgl. Vineyards .

In 1913 and 1914 she visited Karlovy Vary . In 1914 she retired from the stage.
