history
In the course of the district reform carried out in the Free State of Saxony in 1994 , the formerly independent places Lauenhain and Tanneberg merged on January 1, 1994 to form a new municipality called "Lauenhain-Tanneberg".
Just five years later, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Mittweida during the regional reform in Saxony on January 1, 1999. Due to the main statute of the city of Mittweida from 1994, the current districts of Lauenhain and Tanneberg received a joint local constitution and a joint local council.
