The Elsehul is a 800 m wide bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located immediately west of Cape Pride . The bay is one of the breeding grounds for the donkey and king penguin and the resting place of the southern elephant seal .
The name goes back to Norwegian seal hunters and whalers in the period between 1905 and 1912.
