Elval ( Greek ΕΛΒΑΛ , abbreviation for Ελληνική Βιομηχανία Αλουμινίου Α.Ε. Ellinikou Viomichania Alouminiou AE, Greek Aluminum Industry AG ) is a listed metal processing company from Greece. The company is majority owned by the aluminum producer Viohalco and manufactures aluminum products and components at ten locations around the world . The administrative headquarters are in Athens . The company is listed in the Athex Composite Share Price Index on the Athens Stock Exchange .

The company was founded in 1973 by Viohalco and also took over ETEM, which was founded in 1971. In 1994 the Bulgarian state company Steelmet was taken over. In 2009 the Japanese company Furukawa Sky Aluminum acquired 25% of the shares in the Elval subsidiary Bridgnorth Aluminum.

Subsidiaries

  • SYMETAL produces films and components for architectural applications
  • ETEM SA mainly produces aluminum profiles and lightweight components for BMW, Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche, among others.
  • BRIDGNORTH ALUMINUM manufactures printing plates in the UK
