Elvira of Castile (* 1100 - 8 February 1135 ) was the first wife of Rogers II of Sicily and thus initially a countess and from 1130 queen of Sicily .

Elvira was a daughter of King Alfonso VI. of Castile. In 1117 or 1118 she married Roger II, the Count and later King of Sicily.

Together they had six children, five sons and a daughter. The eldest son Roger was born in 1118. In 1130 he was made Duke of Apulia . Tankred, who became Prince of Bari, Alfons, who became Duke of Capua, and Wilhelm (* 1122), who became King of Sicily as Wilhelm I, followed shortly afterwards . Another son, Heinrich, and a daughter, Adelheid, followed later.

Elvira died at the age of about 35 in early February 1135. Elvira's death affected Roger so much that he did not remarry until 14 years later, when only Wilhelm of his five sons was still alive.
