Elvira Popescu (born May 10, 1894 in Bucharest , † December 11, 1993 in Paris , Ile-de-France ) was a Romanian actress .

life and career

Popescu studied drama at the Conservatorul de Artă dramatică , under the direction of Constantin Nottara and Aristizza Romanescu. She made her debut at the Bucharest National Theater at the age of 16. In 1919 she became artistic director of the Excelsior Theater.

Elvira Popescu died in Paris at the age of 99. Their final resting place is on the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in the French capital.
