Emanuel Samuel Tillier
Emanuel Samuel Tillier (born September 23, 1751 ; died September 9, 1835 ) was a Swiss and Bernese officer and politician and came from the Bernese patrician family Tillier .
Life
Tillier was in French service from 1766 to 1792. He then served as a lieutenant colonel in the Bernese militias, and in 1816 he became French field marshal. Tillier became a member of the Bernese Grand Council in 1785 and Ohmgeltner in 1794.
