Emanuele Caracciolo

Emanuele Caracciolo (born August 22, 1912 in Tripoli , † March 24, 1944 in Rome ) was an Italian filmmaker .

Life

Caracciolo attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and from 1937 worked in various functions for films by z. B. Gennaro Righelli , Carmine Gallone and Corrado D'Errico as assistant director , screenwriter and production manager . In 1943 he directed his only own film with Troppo tardi t'ho concosciuta .

Caracciolo was a member of the KPI and a resistance fighter against the Nazis . After his arrest on February 21, 1944, he was one of the victims of the Nazis in the massacre in the Ardeatine Caves .
