Corrado D'Errico

Corrado D'Errico (born May 19, 1902 in Rome ; † September 3, 1941 ibid) was an Italian journalist , film director and screenwriter .

Life

D'Errico was a journalist and film critic for “La Tribuna” and for “L'Impero” before he worked as a theater writer (“Vestita di rosso e di nero” premiered in February 1926) and from 1928 for the cinema . D'Errico, assigned to futurism , was initially active as a screenwriter, was assistant to Mario Camerini at Rotaie , produced short films and made his debut in 1935 with his first feature film.

From 1934 he was the editor of Rivista Luce , an ambitious film magazine that appeared in five editions until the following year.

D'Errico achieved a large output of films in the short time he had until his untimely death at 39; his work was well received and praised by contemporary critics.
