Emch + Berger is a Swiss engineering group that was founded in 1953. It works in the areas of infrastructure, real estate, structural engineering, energy, the environment and transport.

history

In 1919 the Salzmann brothers founded the H. + E. Salzmann engineering office . In 1946 Willy Emch (1916–2013) joined the company, which was now called Salzman + Emch . In 1953, when Fritz Berger (1926–2017) joined the company, the engineering office was given the current name Emch + Berger .

Since 1998, the German Emch + Berger Holding GmbH in Berlin has been owned by the employees who work with the legally independent Swiss Emch + Berger on major projects. The Swiss company has been owned by its employees since 2000.
