Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a citation database created by Thomson Reuters in 2015 and now operated by Clarivate Analytics . The database includes “academic journals of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields”.
The ESCI, along with the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI), is one of the leading citation databases on the Internet.
