Emil Grudge

Emil Groll (born March 6, 1904 in Lüdenscheid ; † July 26, 1978 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school , Groll continued to educate himself in history, philosophy and economics in self-study, in courses and at the adult education center . In 1919 he became a member of the socialist youth workers " Die Falken " and in 1923 a member of the SPD and the Reich Banner . Groll was the chairman of the works council of a large plant from 1929 to 1933 , and in 1933 he was dismissed for subversive attitudes . From June 1933 he was a member of an illegal resistance group.

In August 1945 he became party secretary of the SPD in Altena. In March 1946 he was banned from speaking and organizing because of open criticism of the policies of the occupying powers. Groll was a member of the Public Services, Transportation and Traffic Union .

From September 14, 1953 to July 23, 1966 Groll was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . On September 14, 1953, he moved up to the state parliament on his party's reserve list. He was then directly elected in the constituency 118 Iserlohn-Land-West.
