Emmanuel Addoquaye Pappoe (born March 3, 1981 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player .

Career

Until 2003, Pappoe played for the Ghanaian capital club Liberty Professionals . Then he moved to the Israeli Ligat Ha-al, the first Israeli league, for FC Ashdod . After two years as a regular player, which ended with third place in the table and the UEFA Cup qualification, the defender left Ashdod. He moved to promoted Hapoel Kfar Saba , with whom he achieved relegation in 2006. In 2007 he left the club and moved to AEK Larnaka where he stayed for two years and played 45 games. In 2009 he went to Hapoel Haifa , but after four games he left again. He moved to Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla FC for 14 games in 2010 before returning to his home club.

Addoquaye Pappoe went through his country's youth selections and in 2001 he was the captain of Ghana's U-21s, which finished second at the Youth World Cup in Argentina. On October 19, 2002, he ran for the first time for the Ghanaian national team , where he is now a fixture in the defense and has so far recorded 29 appearances. In addition to the 2004 Olympic soccer tournament in Athens and the 2006 African Championship, his biggest tournament so far was the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Already in qualifying he played all ten games and was a left - back in the Ghanas World Cup , where he played once in the preliminary round against Italy and once in the round of 16 against Brazil.
