Emmelsten Langdysse

The Emmelsten Langdysse ( Danish also called Eemmelstene, Emmelsted, Emmelsten Høj, Emmesten, Kæmpegrav or Kjæmpegraven ) is located in the north of the island of Fur in Jutland in Denmark .

Emmelsten are the remains of an approximately 64.0 meter long barren bed of the Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) that existed between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC in the Neolithic . The dolmen with a chamber at the south end lost its curbs that surrounded the hill between 1850 and 1880 when they were used to build farm buildings.

Nearby are the Runddysse Frammerslev Byhøje and the stone box Debel Anshede (also Debel By) on the island of Fur .
