Emmerke (desert)
Emmerke is a desert in the urban area of Borgentreich , located between Borgentreich and Bühne . Today street names in Borgentreich as well as the ruins of the Emmerker church tower remind of this place.
history
The village of Emmerke was mentioned as early as 920 under the name Amhrikak . The place probably went under as a result of the founding of the city of Borgentreich in the late 13th century, when the population of Emmerke moved to the new city.
