Emmy du Féaux

Emmy du Féaux (born Asplind ; born February 16, 1837 in Talsen , Courland , † after 1908) was a German-Baltic writer and journalist. She mostly published her works under the pseudonym "Ernst Dorn".

Life

After the early death of her father, the Swedish engineer Asplind, she supported her mother and studied the history of Courland. In 1854 she married the Russian rent master T. du Féaux. She has written historical novels , sketches and novels for the Rigaer Tageblatt and the Dresdener Frauenzeitung, among others . Her works include the novel found and the humoresque with obstacles . In the short story, Reminder , she traced the life of an acquaintance who died in poverty after fleeing to Charlottenburg. In addition, libretti for operas and texts for musical compositions as well as dramas were part of her works; her poems remained unprinted during her lifetime.
