Jakob Prandtauer Prize for Science and Art
The Jakob Prandtauer Prize for Science and Art of the City of St. Pölten is an honorary award given by the City of St. Pölten . The prize, named after the baroque master builder Jakob Prandtauer who worked in the city , has been awarded 43 times since 1968; the statute on which the award is based was adopted on January 30, 1967.
The prize is awarded at irregular intervals; the award is preceded by a resolution in the city senate. At the ceremony, the mayor will hand over a certificate as well as the medal .
