Zdenka Becker

Zdenka Becker ( Slovak Beckerová , born March 25, 1951 in Cheb , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak - Austrian writer .

Life

Zdenka Becker spent her childhood in Bratislava . After graduating from high school, she studied economics at the Bratislava University of Economics. In 1974 she moved to Austria after marrying the Austrian Leo Becker. In 1986 she also began to write in German. From 1988 to 1990 she attended the interpreting institute in Vienna . She has lived with her family in St. Pölten - Radlberg since 1983 . She has two children.

Her works have been translated into Slovak, Czech, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Romanian, Spanish, Persian, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Telugu and Mandarin.

Zdenka Becker translates from Slovak, Czech and Russian into German and from German into Slovak.
