Hans Bankl

Hans Bankl (born April 9, 1940 in St. Pölten ; † December 11, 2004 in Vienna ) was an Austrian professor of pathological anatomy and prosector .

Life

In addition to his pathology textbooks, he was best known for his popular science works , in which he examined the biographies and deaths of well-known personalities, including Pope John Paul I , and brought up so many conspiracy theories . Bankl was a committed Freemason . Among other things, he was head of the Institute for Clinical Pathology at the St. Pölten State Hospital . According to an article in the daily newspaper "Kurier", Hans Bankl died of lung cancer .
