Emslage

Emslage is a former municipality in western Lower Saxony in what is now the Emsland district . The community was formed on July 1, 1970 from the communities Klein Fullen , Groß Fullen , Rühle (with Rühlerfeld and Rühlermoor ) and Versen . The municipality had an extension of 73.91 km² and 4165 inhabitants (December 31, 1971).

On March 1, 1974, the municipality of Emslage was dissolved. The majority of the municipal area was assigned to the city of Meppen , Rühlerfeld and Rühlermoor came to the municipality of Twist .

The VfL Emslage sports club, which was founded on April 16, 1971, still exists today.
