Rühlerfeld is a district of the municipality of Twist in the Emsland district with around 1750 inhabitants.
geography
Rühlerfeld is located in the west of the district near the border with the Netherlands between Rühle and Rühlermoor . The city center of Meppen is about 8 km (as the crow flies) east of Rühlermoor, the center of Twist is about the same distance west of Rühlerfeld. The village lies at an altitude of 17 to 20 m above sea level .
history
Rühlerfeld belonged to the municipality of Rühle until 1970 . This merged with the communities of Groß Fullen , Klein Fullen and Versen to form the community of Emslage .
On March 1, 1974, the municipality of Emslage was dissolved again. The majority of the municipal area was assigned to the city of Meppen, Rühlerfeld and Rühlermoor came to the municipality of Twist .

The Catholic Holy Cross Church is the only church in the village.
education
There is a kindergarten and a primary school in Rühlerfeld.
Sports
In addition to the VfL Emslage sports facilities, there is also the shooting range of the St. Hubertus rifle club in the village.
traffic
The Twist junction of the A 31 motorway is in the immediate vicinity east of the village. The state road L 47 runs through the village coming from Meppen, continues to Rühlertwist and finally merges into the Dutch N 863 .
