The Enaer T-35 Pillán is a single-engine training aircraft produced by the Chilean aircraft manufacturer ENAER .
history
In 1981, before ENAER was actually founded, the development of this military training aircraft for the Chilean Air Force ( FACh ) was completed by IndAer, an air force organization founded in 1980. The goal was a small and very agile single-engine trainer that should also be suitable for aerobatics . The T-35 was designed with two seats.
The T-35 Pillán was designed primarily for initial and instrument training. It quickly became apparent that the T-35 met their requirements in an excellent manner and that the aircraft was selling very well in South America and Spain .
After ENAER was founded in 1984, the export of 41 T-35C kits to the Spanish Air Force began in 1985 , which called the model "E.26 Tamiz". The machines were assembled at CASA . The Enaer T-35 Pillán was a very successful export model and was exported to many South and Central American countries until 1991. These countries include Ecuador, El Salvador , Guatemala , Panama , Paraguay and the Dominican Republic .
The Chilean Air Force replaced their old Beechcraft T-34 Mentor training aircraft with the more modern Enaer T-35 Pillán. The delivery to the Air Force was completed in 1990.
