The Adobe Encore program (formerly Adobe Encore DVD ) is software for post-production of film media . The program is the publication of content such as DVD, Blu-ray Disc or (Flash movie) SWF thought. It is still part of the "Production Premium" package of Adobe's Creative Suite .
As part of the Creative Suite, Adobe Encore is seamlessly integrated with other programs in the same package, such as Adobe Photoshop .
In contrast to other Adobe products, projects created with Adobe Encore CS3 are currently not cross-platform compatible, i.e. a project created at the Windows level with Adobe Encore CS3 (Win) cannot be used at the Macintosh level with Adobe Encore CS3 (Mac) can be opened or processed.
With the discontinuation of the further development of the Creative Suite, Encore will no longer switch to the Creative Cloud. This decision was justified by the fact that "the video industry has moved further and further away from the distribution of physical media and the developers are concentrating on the development for cloud and streaming content."
