End user

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term end-users (including users or end users as well as user ) called in the IT sector and in consumer electronics , the person who provided the use acquired / computer science products , mostly software , used personally.

Contrary to what happens in companies, where administrators install and set up software on behalf of the user , in the case of private purchases, the end user is at the same time the end customer and user, also referred to here as private or home users . The contractual details for installing and using the software are mostly in an End User License Agreement ( Engl. End user license agreement EULA) regulated.

With regard to access rights , end users in companies are often assigned to specific user groups in order to be able to manage the specific user rights for the entire group (e.g. a department) and thus more easily.

Software products suitable for this enable end users to create software themselves depending on their experience ( end user development ), often using graphic programming languages and tools.
