Endod
Endod is a natural biopesticide made from the berries of the pokeweed plant, Phytolacca dodecandra, from the Ethiopian highlands. It works against snails and mosquito larvae, among other things. An effect against schistosomiasis (schistosomiasis) still needs to be confirmed.
The Ethiopian scientists Legesse Wolde-Yohannes and Aklilu Lemma received the Right Livelihood Award in 1989 for their research into Endod .
